Bloodhound Gang in-the-news

Pop: Top 10 Singles, Top 10 Albums

May 5, 2000The Independent

The UK's garage scene dominates the charts, accounting for half of the top 10 (nos 1, 3, 7, 9 and 10). Watch out, too, for a glut of progressively younger Britney-alikes (this week's offering, 16-year- old Mandy Moore); a marketing department's dream. Bloodhound Gang's (left) touch may be bad, but they're up three places.

The excellent Moby still holds off all comers at the top, with Tom Jones's duets steady at no 2. Toni Braxton's intermittently inspired third album debuts at no 3 (the only release from this year in the top five), while coming straight in at no 6, Cypress Hill (left) jump on the rap-metal crossover bandwagon. To no great effect.
